$1,500 Bonus…..To Quit???

ZapposLas Vegas shoe retailer Zappos.com is now offering a $1,500 Bonus to Quit.

Say what?  A bonus to quit?  After listening to the CNBC interview with Tony Hsieh, this strategy actually makes sense.  Zappos has a unique corporate culture and wants to ensure that every new team member fits that culture.  If the new hire discovers that they do not, Zappos thinks it is best to accept that and part ways.  The $1,500 bonus helps ease the process. 

Zappos expects to hit $1 Billion in sales this year and is hiring 30-40 new team members each week to staff their Las Vegas call center

Kudos to Tony and the HR team of Zappos for understanding the value of ‘culture’ and finding ‘matches.’
